Our Story

Unidiversity began in 1993 when four youth ministers decided to get together to create their own youth camp. They realized that pooling the resources and the talents of multiple churches created a great camp experience for their youth. Today, Unidiversity Youth Camp has grown to include over twenty churches from Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
A unique feature about Unidiversity is that the entire camp is led by church ministers and lay volunteers. Unidiversity does not have a paid staff. Unidiversity does not have a central office. The different ministers in the partnering churches and faith communities get together throughout the year to plan the theme, create worship experiences, write Bible Studies and devotionals, plan morning celebrations and evening activities, and coordinate seminars and electives. The adults that come to Unidiversity are all on staff!

What’s A Day At Camp Like?
We'll give you a hint - Every day is a full day!
Morning Celebration
Our day begins with breakfast in the cafeteria followed by Morning Celebration in the auditorium. Morning Celebration is a high-energy time of songs, fun, and craziness that wakes us up and gets us going for the day. Students get a sneak preview of the theme for the day and then transition straight to their Bible Study Groups.
Bible Study
Groups of 15-18 teens meet in different classrooms on campus. Two to three students from each church gather with other youth from different churches for a truly diverse Bible Study experience.
Seminars
These “thought provoking” topics speak to the needs of students and take them on a deep level of learning. Past Seminar topics have included: Divorce and Me; Bible on Broadway; Practicing Hospitality; Spiritual Disciplines; Praying in Color; How To Deal When Life Stinks; Where is God When…?; Movie Guide For Morons; What Would Jesus Drive; and Pastoral Care for Dummies.
Electives
Kickball, Dodgeball, Flag Football, Cooking, Photography, Line Dancing, Shagging, Tennis, Duct Tape Crafts, Arts & Crafts, Creative Writing, Choir, and Golf are a few of the different electives we have offered at camp.
Free Time
Lasts for a couple of hours before dinner. Then, we all gather in the auditorium for worship.
Worship
At Unidiversity, we take worship seriously. In planning each night of worship our creative and enthusiastic leaders spend time, energy, and prayer collaborating to do our best to make each time we gather meaningful and worthy.
Evening Activity
Before Church Group Devotions which ends each day, we have an Evening Activity of fun and fellowship. We sing karaoke, have Bible Study group competitions, eat ice cream, and have a lot of fun together.
