As we enter into our 5th year of Mission Unidiversity I am humbled to think of what God has done through teenagers and adults to make differences in the lives of real people who have real needs. Our accomplishments in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, Wilmington, North Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, and Farmville, VA. have not been one shot deals. The gifts of our labor continue in the lives of the groups and individuals who both gave and received. A video of last years mission trip can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm-Q_eyW5U4. (As of the writing of this letter, the work in Farmville is continuing. The electricity and heat was turned on in the parsonage we worked on, and the pastor may be spending the night in his home within the month!) Not only have we shared God’s love through our actions, we have also become closer together as the body of Christ.
This year, Mission Unidiversity will focus our attention in the Forest City, North Carolina area. The main work details are still in the making, but the need is there… and opportunity to serve is apparent. Our dates: June 20-25, 2010.
Please find in this mailing our tentative schedule, the cost breakdown, and several other pieces of information. Please respond as soon as possible in an email your “best guess” as to your number of participation and the number of rooms you will need. (
